The work on learning the vSphere version 6 product has now begun, with the VMware vSphere 6 courses now released.

The first step therefore is to install my ESXi hosts.

I have produced a very short video on the steps to install ESXi 6

VMware vSphere 6 is here.

I got an email last night telling me that VMware vSphere 6 is now in GA.

Head to download site and give it a go.

For more information head to the VMware vSphere Product site

You will find plenty of documentation and information on the latest version of the VMware hypervisor on the VMware product page.

My journey now begins learning the product and hopefully delivering some useful VMware ICM and WN courses.

Those lovely people as VMware have kindly decided to help me out by offering 50% off the VCP-NV exam as long as I (we) all sit the exam by end of June 2015.

I’ve just finished doing my VMware Certified Associate in Network virtualisation exam, to be honest for an entry level exam, the exam was quite challenging.

Not to worry though as I am now back to all the VCA exams sat and passed.

I’d definitely recommend looking at the VMware Certified Associate certifications, I used these exams as a precursor to my VCP exams as a good benchmark. My realisation is that I definitely need to do more work on VMware’s NSX product before attempting my VCP-NV exam
