Happy New Year and welcome to 2014 everyone

As a VMware instructor, one of the things I talk about is the Software-Defined Datacentre. The Software-Defined Datacentre deploys virtual data centres with isolated computing, storage, networking, and security resources faster than a traditional hardware-based data centre.

A big component of the Software-Defined Datacentre is the networking component, and this is the focus of this post.

VMware have released a public audience course at no cost.

The course is entitled VMware Network Virtualisation Fundamentals and is available via VMware’s education web site.

http://mylearn.vmware.com/mgrreg/courses.cfm?ui=www_edu&a=one&id_subject=52533

After this course, you should be able to:
Establish the requirements for network virtualization
Compare and contrast virtual and physical networking solutions
Describe advanced VMware network virtualization solutions
